Yellow Cat * Utah Barite Pseudomorph - 6.1 oz.

This polished Barite Pseudomorph comes from the Yellow Cat flats area in Utah.  The white banding sets off the vibrant red in the center and also surrounding the white. The outside is a very light green color and shows the spray of crystals. It has a spot of red fortification on the side and then almost the whole bottom area. It has light restoration work. The red is almost unreal beautiful which you won't find anywhere else in the world. This pseudomorph is very special and the colors just pop out at you.

Pseudomorphs are from a very Rare formation, where barite is replaced with agate, in this case red agate. Extra nice unique specimen from only one area in Utah, likely the only place in the world where such a unique specimen is found! They are much brighter than most agates and the fortification is spectacular. This is a superb specimen, with excellent color and fortification, absolutely one of a kind treasure! This pseudomorph comes from a very old collection.
