Yellow Cat * Pair * Utah Barite Pseudomorph - 6.6 oz.

This polished Barite Pseudomorph pair comes from the Yellow Cat flats area in Utah.  Both have big deep red fortification. Both pieces have some nice blades on the outside.The red is almost unreal beautiful which you won't find anywhere else in the world. This cut pseudomorph is very special and the colors just pop out at you. The famous Mexican agate is not as bright or colorful.
 
Measurements on the larger piece is about: 2 1/2 inch x 2 inch x 1 inch thick, together they weigh 6.6 oz.
 
Pseudomorphs are from a very Rare formation, where barite is replaced with agate, in this case red agate. Extra nice unique specimen from only one area in Utah, likely the only place in the world where such a unique specimen is found! There is only one area that these pseumorphs were bigger and have the excellent red fortification, it's a long long walk. They are much brighter than most agates and the fortification is spectacular. This is a superb specimen, with excellent color and fortification, absolutely one of a kind treasure! This pseudomorph comes from a very old collection.
